The Meme
There's an established "Smash cake" TikTok trend out there where people add pictures of famous people that they, ahem, would like to smash. This "Hear me out" variant has a similar concept, but allows people to get pretty wild with their picks.
Instead of Daniel Radcliffe, you get Dobby the house elf. Instead of Sally Hawkins, you get the amphibian guy. Ya digg?

2. Talk Tuah guests
The Meme
Remember the Hawk Tuah girl? Of course you do. In early September, just three months since she first went viral, Haliey Welch (her real name) launched her own talk show, "Talk Tuah" β and it's already one of the most popular podcasts in the US.
In the internet age, a meteoric rise to fame rarely comes without the meme treatment β and now that people are over the "Hawk Tuah" line, they've moved on to joking about the guests appearing on Welch's show.

1. Eric Adams gets indicted
The Meme
On September 25, the New York Times reported that New York City mayor Eric Adams had been indicted on at least one federal criminal charge related to corruption, making him the first mayor in the city's modern history to be charged while in office.
Adams released a video on Wednesday claiming that any charges made against him were "based on lies," and that he was being targeted because he "stood [his] ground" for New Yorkers. At the time of writing, the details of the charges are yet to be laid out, but the indictment came after a federal corruption investigation at least partly focused on Adams's administration.
The internet never misses an opportunity to make fun of America's weirdest mayor, and today was no exception.
