We're now just 38 days from election day, and the temperature is rising in a number of high-profile races. Dems are struggling to protect their tiny Senate majority, and they're hoping for an unlikely upset in a number of fairly red states.

Meanwhile, Harris remains comfortably ahead in national polls despite struggling to keep a meaningful gap between herself and Trump in swing states. We're looking at a repeat where the Democrat is a heavy favorite to win the popular vote, but the highly skewed electoral college is effectively a coin-flip.

As Montana's senate race slips away, Dems target Texas, Florida and... Nebraska?

Axios reported earlier this week that the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is targeting Texas and Florida. Now the cash is on its way.

Nebraska: A weird race โ€” with no Democratic challenger running โ€” has an independent candidate, veteran and mechanic Dan Osborn, statistically tied with Republican Sen. Debbie Fischer in multiple polls.

Trump runs away from his ongoing 'Black Nazi' problem in North Carolina

As [Trump] left the podium, a reporter asked if he was planning to pull his endorsement of the lieutenant governor. Trump responded "I donโ€™t know the situation" before quickly walking away and taking another reporter's question.

The Harris campaign, who are eager to tie the former president to the besieged lieutenant governor in an important swing state, quickly responded to the remark. "It's impossible to believe that, somehow, Donald Trump missed the news about his handpicked candidate for governor calling himself a 'Nazi,'" Harris campaign spokesperson Ammar Moussa said in a statement sent to the Daily Beast.

Harris joins in on 'close the border' rhetoric

Harris plans to say that American sovereignty requires setting rules at the border and enforcing them, stressing that Border Patrol agents need more resources.

The vice president will make combating the flow of fentanyl a focal point of her remarks and refer to it as a "top priority" for her presidency. Harris will propose adding fentanyl detection machines to ports of entry along the border and will call on the Chinese government to crack down on companies that make the precursor chemicals utilized in the making of fentanyl.
